This Italian-made timer makes is easy to automatically irrigate two areas with different water requirements. The two outlets can be programmed to release water up to three times a day on any or all days of the week, for duration ranging from 1 minute to 23 hours, 59 minutes. Programs do not operate simultaneously to maintain water flow rate and the weekly program effects both lines. A manual override allows watering between cycles or pauses them without altering settings. The manual mode is preset for 15 minutes; time adjustment must be executed by hand. It has a low-battery indicator, and saves settings for 15 minutes while changing the 9v alkaline battery (not included). Built in stainless filter traps harmful contaminants and is removable for cleaning. The UV-stable ABS housing is weatherproof, and quick-connect couplings allows to remove hoses easily. Performs with water pressure of 1.5 to 174 PSI and outdoor temperature of 130°F. If you are seeing for a dual head timer that supports a rain sensor and fits an exterior tap then this is pretty much your only option. On the whole I think you will be happy with what it offers, but if you do not need the rain sensor then you might be good off with the Orbits timer.
Based on the price I paid I incredible more options than the much less costly Orbits timer. What I was most disappointed to find was that I cannot independently schedule each channel. For example, I cannot schedule channel A to be 3 times per week and channel B to be 4 times per week. Both channels must run on the same days although you can schedule them to run on dissimilar times. The way colse to this is to schedule one channel to be the minimum of 1 minuscule and the other channel to be some longer time period.
The other thing I find annoying is that you can only run a by hand schedule for 15 minutes, which is the claber recommended watering time, but for this price I would like the choice to run for longer or shorter. Also, seeing the by hand is more difficult than it needs to be. It is not difficult for the owner of the timer, but it is too complicated to plainly call person and ask them to come over to your how and run a by hand watering program.
The Orbits timer has its own limitations, but if you do not need the rain sensor, you might be good off with that one, or two separate timers, otherwise this is a ability timer.
